Nakoma Expansion
In a strategic move to continue expanding our network to help our clients find the perfect home in the Sierras, Team Blair opened a Nakoma Resort Division. Located less than an hour north of Truckee in eastern Plumas County, Nakoma is a luxury resort and residential community offering ample opportunity to enjoy the scenic alpine surroundings in comfort and style. Luxury turnkey options and custom home builds available at Nakoma offer an enticing, economically attractive alternative to prospective buyers looking for real estate in the Truckee-Tahoe area.
Record Sales Numbers
Nationwide, real estate rebounded from the economic impact of the pandemic in a big way. Home prices skyrocketed and buyer competition increased, as remote workers around the country began dispersing geographically. Locally, we continue to see lots of buyer interest, but, as always, inventory remains a challenge. However, we were still able to pull off our most successful year to date. We won’t know the exact numbers until year-end, but we are happy to report we surpassed our team goals with over $200M in sales – making Team Blair the top-producing Compass team in Lake Tahoe. We are also ranked #3 Team in the Country in the Network Group, which includes the top Compass agent teams.
Compass Real Estate IPO
While our team had a successful year, Compass Real Estate really took off, expanding to over 300 offices, and over 20,000 agents. The IPO on the NY Stock Exchange in March at $18 per share (COMP (NYSE)), caused a huge splash and brought the Compass brand high visibility on a national stage. At the Compass Retreat last month, the executive and product teams shared some exciting developments that we can leverage to help our clients even more in the future.
