Big things coming for Incline residents
If you've spent time on Lake Tahoe's north shore lately, you've probably felt it. Incline Village is having a moment. The community is thriving in a way that's exciting to watch, with new investment, beloved traditions, and a quiet sense of momentum that's drawing more people to the Nevada side of the lake than ever before.
Here's a closer look at what's happening. And why it matters for anyone thinking about putting down roots here.
A new beach house, decades in the making
This spring, construction officially began on the new Incline Beach House: a nearly $11 million project that's been in the works for almost a decade. The Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) is replacing the 60 plus year old snack bar, tiki bar, and restrooms with a modern facility designed for conveniency and comfort for residents and guests alike: a commercial kitchen with ordering windows, patio seating, beachside fire pits, and restrooms open year-round.
"The main goal is to replace the 60 plus year old facilities that are currently at Incline Beach, with modern infrastructure that better meets the needs of Incline Village residents and their guests," said Paul Raymore of IVGID.
It's a significant upgrade and a clear signal of how much the community is willing to invest in its own future. During construction, the main beach entrance will close and parking will be limited, and the popular Music on the Beach concert series is temporarily relocating next door to Ski Beach for the 2026 season. A small inconvenience for the generational improvements that are incoming.
A summer of music, art, and gathering
The Incline community also boasts the area's annual music festival: Classical Tahoe. Classical Tahoe just announced its 15th season, with tickets and a full summer lineup now available. The festival has become a fixture of summer here, bringing world-class musicians to one of the most beautiful natural settings in the country. Combined with Music on the Beach and the steady rhythm of community events that fill the calendar, it's a reminder that Incline isn't just a beautiful place to live, but a place where people show up for each other.
A community that invests in itself
Much of what makes Incline Village feel so connected can be traced back to organizations like the Incline Village Crystal Bay Association (IVCBA). For years, the IVCBA has played a central role in shaping life here by championing local businesses, supporting civic initiatives, and bringing residents together around the issues and events that matter most to the community. Their ongoing work, alongside IVGID's infrastructure investments, is part of why this area feels both alive and well cared for.
It's this combination of public investment, cultural depth, and an engaged, organized community that's drawing more families, second-homeowners, and full-time residents to the Nevada side of the lake. People aren't just buying a property in Incline Village. They're buying into a community that's actively growing in all the right ways.
