The Lake Forest area is one of the most convenient locations on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. It is walking distance to the public Skylandia sandy beach recreation area with its summer programs for kids. The public boat launch is nearby for additional fun. Tahoe City with its restaurants, shopping and other activities is an easy walk or bike along the bike trail or short drive away. In winter the Palisades ski complex is a few miles down the road.
